Q: How do I get my student’s work?
A: Parents should pick up their student’s work at the school office on the following Fridays: March 20 and 27, between 8:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. *UPDATE: Work has been distributed for the remainder of the school year.*
Q: How do I return my student’s work?
A: Parents should drop off their student’s work at the gym on the following Fridays: March 20, 27 and April 3, between 8:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. *UPDATE: Completed student work should be dropped-off at the gym each Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.*
Q: Should I bring my student(s) with me when I come to pick up/drop off work?
A: It is our intent to minimize in-person contact at CAC, so we do not encourage students to visit school while CAC follows the current alternative learning plan.
Q: How will teachers know that student’s work is being finished?
A: Teachers are still working even though they might not be at school. All of the expected grading, feedback, and other duties will be performed by teachers. Teachers will grade student work that is turned in and communicate with parents/guardians.
Q: What if I need to contact my student’s teacher?
A: All teachers are on-call and available to assist with parents’ questions. We ask that you do respect our teachers’ time by contacting them during normal school hours, or contacting them during school hours to set an appointment.
Q: When will in-person classes resume at CAC?
A: April 13, but this date is subject to change. *UPDATE: The alternative learning plan will continue through the end of the 2019-2020 school year (May 8, 2020)*
Q: How are quizzes and tests administered?
A: Quiz and test administration will vary by teacher, so please consult your student’s teacher for further instruction.
Q: Do students still get a Spring Break?
A: Yes. Spring Break at CAC is April 6-10.
Q: May I still receive in-person tutoring for my student?
A: It is our intent to minimize in-person contact at CAC. Therefore, in-person tutoring is highly discouraged while CAC follows the current alternative learning plan.
Q: How will I receive updates on the COVID-19 situation pertaining to CAC?
A: Updates will be sent through CAC’s Remind messages, CAC’s Facebook account, and CAC’s school website. Please follow these outlets to stay informed. To sign up for Remind messages, text @336bd to 81010. Please be aware that CAC’s official statements come directly from these outlets.
