ADMINISTRATION

Mr. Larry D. Pender (Administrator) - came to CAC in 2022 as Head-of-School. Mr. Pender has a B.A. from Tennessee Temple University and a M.A. from Liberty University. He has served as a teacher, principal, administrator, and superintendent in 5 Christian schools in 4 states. He has a lifetime head-of-school certification through ACSI. His wife, since 1978, is Theresa (Teri) Pender and they have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. His favorite Bible verse in Philippians 1:20-21 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

His favorite pass time is bass fishing in his kayak. He also likes to run. He is an avid Alabama football fan having lived in Tuscaloosa for 15 years. He is passionate about Christian education and serves as a mentor to other school leaders.

Mr. Pender writes articles about Christian education and Christian family living which are posted on Sycamore on the News page. He loves his staff and teachers and would love to see them compensated properly for their dedication and hard work.

K4 - Mrs. Susie Scott (Vice Principal) has been a part of the CAC for 22 years. From history to art, she’s taught a lot of different subjects - though she happily left math to others! But for the last 17 years, her heart has been firmly planted in the K4 classroom, where she’s been shaping the minds (and imaginations) of young learners with a lot of love and just the right amount of fun.

She calls Madison, Indiana home, nestled in the largest historical district in the state. When she’s not busy teaching, she loves trying different recipes, traveling, and exploring her charming town. With a large extended family that’s as full of personality as it is laughter, she’s always on the go. Her favorite Bible verse? Matthew 9:12. It keeps her grounded and focused on her calling to serve others.

Mrs. Scott is happiest when she is with her son Silas, and her two loyal pups, Sophie and Max. Together, they keep things lively, whether it's Silas with his quick wit or the dogs with their boundless energy.
